To help give an idea of the sizes of each of the actual ORIGINAL paintings, I'm 5'7" and I am scaled next to each painting, as per it's original size.
The Wound
I was thrilled & so very grateful that my life was probably saved by the surgeon who decided to remove my appendix when I was rushed into hospital but I was horrified by the 'stitching up' which his registrar (or other person who was in theatre that day) carried out.
It literally did scar & disfigure me because it was so badly done. (On holiday the surgeon of a small
Greek Island observed my 'wound' with disgust!)
I painted this picture & offered it in a letter (& via the newspapers) to the NHS Health Minister at the time. He declined the picture but DID promise to 'rectify' my 'wound'.... sadly I'm still waiting!
But... getting out my paintbrushes made me
FEEL a bit better!
